Security joke ?

The
main web page says :
VLC 0.9.8a. We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version.
But the download page offers only 0.9.6.
What is the point ?

I guess that they are still missing Windows developer and making Windows releases is hard due to that. Still it IS interesting that there are no news about release of 0.9.7 or 0.9.8 for any platform.

Changing the text to : "We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version when it becomes available."
would clear up any confusion and misunderstandings.
