No. Only with AVI files. All other formats play just fine. I've tried the procedures in the link already and they don't solve the problem.

AVI files you shot by yourself using your digital camera? If so, is there some sort of sample file you could share?

I filmed these AVI files myself using my Sony Handycam DCRHC20 digital camcorder. I'd be happy to share a sample file clip, but do you know of any filehosting websites with a high enough uploadable file size in AVI format? -- I've tried reducing to a five second clip, but even that amounts to 180MB. Any suggestions how to get the sample AVI to you?

I am experiencing the same color issues. Only since upgrade to version 0.9.6. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, no change. Have also uninstalled then reinstalled previous version that worked (0.9.4) and same color issues exit.

The same file plays perfectly on my Mac thru VLC.

Any further suggestions. Thanks

I have a very similar problem, but only with Intel video cards (integrated) and only for 16 bits color depth. More, not only affects avi files, but everything.
I'm posting a new thread on this, but I feel that the bug could have the same origin.
Regards
Claudio

Rapidshare has for example limit of 200 megs. It might be that DV decoder does something incorrectly, prolly a colorspace issue.

Thanks for the sample. Issue confirmed. Trac opened.

And it isn't DV AVI. It is RAW one. Same issue in AVIdemux. (works fine in Windows Media Player and in Virtualdub)
