[solved] High CPU usage on XP x64

Hi folks,

So I got the VLC version 0.9.6 and I recognized a high cpu usage of VLC.
Vlc uses between 50% and 70% of my CPU all the time even without playing anything.

My system:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 SP2
Intel Core2Duo E8400
8GB RAM

I assume it has to do something with the 64bit OS, but i dunno.
The last versions worked fine for me.

There is a clear issue. Try with no video and no audio.

OK I tried disabling audio and video as you suggested but I'm still having this issue.

Does it help if you shut down VLC, remove libpodcast_plugin.dll and start VLC?

Yes it is. I don't even have x64 Windows to test why this happens.
