Weirdest Crash EVER! [Please Help]

Postby deweydecibel » 13 Nov 2008 05:20

So i was just playing a song in VLC and it crashed. This would be all fine and dandy, but the problem is it is still playing sound, in an infinite loop!
My first reaction was to check the task manager and kill the process, but uh-oh no processes called VLC running!
So what do i do?
I don't want to reboot my computer because i'm currently in the middle of a 2 GB megaupload download, and i would have to start all over again!
But i would like to get my sound back in the next 8 hours...
Any suggestions? are there other windows tasks/processes that i could kill?

I had this problem to some time ago. Apparently some addons in firefox (foxytunes) can stuff up vlc and cause songs to keep playing.
