mousewheel controls

I just set mousewheel (up and down) to search in the file and it works but when a scroll the wheel also the vol. changes.Why?
in the options i deleted the ones about volume even if they were not with the mousewheel but it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me?

i didn't know i was asking such a "famous" feature.....
I read something of that topic

You said that the wheel must control volume but if we go on the seek bar the wheel search in the player......maybe you could do the opposite.
The wheel controls the seek bar but if we move on the volume controls,we change the volume.
