Grid Lines in VLC

My VLC has been experiencing a grid of lines that get more visible the smaller that the aspect ratio is.
It also frame skips.

I have tested it with multiple AVI files.
I have version 9.4 and I have tried downgrading versions as well as deleting the preferences.
It will not let me take snapshots in VLC when lines are visible, but only when I do not shrink or greaten the aspect ratio.

I really want VLC back to normal, I cant watch anything on my computer.

Gee, thanks. Setting the output mode to OpenGL did the trick.

Only one thing i find strange. I reinstalled Windows and everything a month ago or so; i didn't need to tamper with that setting. I reinstalled again yesterday, exactly the same components; every video file looked wrong. Any hint? Is it the newest dlable VLC version that changed in a month or so?

Display adapters driver issue. Bad drivers cause drawing issues with certain settings.
