random volume changes.

Here's my issue with 0.9.4 on XP and wireless mouse.

The volume changes randomly -- usually up or down by about 10% on watching any video file. It usually happens once in every 15 mins or so.

I've never had this problem with any previous version of VLC with the exact same setup.

I've got to the point now where I'm most probably going back to an 0.8 version. In addition to this problem, the mouse wheel changing volume is not something I ever want, and I find the GUI wastes space (the button bar at the bottom is far, far too large). I'm also seeing interlacing artifacts with DVDs that I'm fairly sure I've not seen before on previous versions.

That wireless mouse don't cause any other strange issues? (specially when batteries are low)

Could you provide screen caps for those DVD issues?

Nope, the mouse has new batteries and works perfectly with everything else. It worked perfectly with VLC 0.8.6 too.

I assume the issue is related to the mouse, since this new scroll wheel changing volume "feature" seems to be the most likely connection.

Obviously some people have requested the ability to change volume with mouse wheel, though I cannot understand why this is necessary or desirable myself. Even if the volume wasn't randomly changing for me, it's far too easy to change the volume by accident with the scroll wheel depending on which window you have in focus. I think I need to join with the others here in requesting that you make it possible for anyone to turn this feature off a high priority.

My mouse is a USB wired one and I have the same problem. The volume just randomly changes during movies. It happens anywhere from just a few seconds apart to 15 minutes or more. Every now and then it would turn the volume all the way down so I couldn't hear anything. Just flick the on/off switch to off when youre watching a movie. I just unplug mine. I guess it will have to do until they fix that little glitch.

If you watch videos full screen, you see the volume change animation on the right side of the screen when this happens?
