I have a 2 monitor setup with extended desktop with the fullscreen display on monitor 2. When one file ends and the next begins, the fullscreen display "jumps" from the monitor 2 to monitor 1 (the one with the taskbar). This didn't happen in 8.x.
Also, no matter what I do, there are always black bars on the right and left sides, even when I fill the display out with cropping.

You use DirectX video output that is locked to use second screen? Or just default VLC settings?

Was just using default. Now it works brilliantly!
Mission accomplished and working well, though I still think it's a bug that it reverts to the other monitor by default.
