Enqueue problem in VLC

Postby arktemplar » 07 Oct 2008 02:51

Hi,

This has been discussed before but I'd read it had been fixed. I've been using VLC as my main player for some time now I really do like it - so thanks for an awesome product.

The problem is that rather than enqueuing files when I double click on them the player jumps ahead and plays it. I've checked j-b's 9.4 and 9.3 releases for windows - they seem to have the same problem that 9.2 had. The enqueue option isn't saved when I click it in the preferences menu. I followed what was said in [1] and tried setting my "playlist-enqueue=1" however as soon as I restarted VLC that was lost. Any fix or info on what I'm doing wrong would be most appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out, I loved the context menus that were introduced :D .

Same problem here in Windows Vista and XP. This problem has appeared with VLC 0.9.x versions. No problem with VLC 0.8.6

The problem is in vlcrc file (c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\vlc)

Thanx brucea. This problem is solved adding "playlist-enqueue=1" to vlcrc file, but you have to protect the file as read only because it is deleted next time you close VLC.
Could someone solve this problem in future versions?
Thanxs
