Hi,

Is this VLC 0.9.3 Windows release an unofficial release ?

www.codecs.com/download/VideoLAN.htm
www.codecs.com/VideoLAN_download.htm

If it's not an official release, what do you think about it (risky to use or not) ?

Regards,

Thomas.

There is no official 0.9.3 yet ATM. I don't know about codecs.com, so for a precompiled 0.9.3 for Windows I would use j-b one (an active VLC developer): http://people.videolan.org/~jb/0.9.3/.

regards,
Anthony

Ok, it seems that it should be the j-b release (screenshoot of the codecs.com version I used) :

Well, 0.9.3 fixes some issues like those... Oficial release will follow.

That Codecs.com 0.9.3 crashes and hangs badly on Vista x64, so to be safe, I'd suggest staying with 0.9.2, as it is wonderful by comparison. :)
