When I set the vlc player to full screen, for some reason the taskbar still shows on the bottom. Has anyone had that problem as well and knows how to solve it?

I don't think this is the same problem. I'm talking about the windows taskbar on the bottom of the screen not the vlc playback controller. When I put vlc into fullscreen, the windows taskbar still shows at the bottom of the screen. This did not happen in the previous versions. Thanks.

So you know your not alone I am getting this also, the windows task bar that is, not every time but some times...

I do find though that just clicking on the main videolan window will get rid of the taskbar.

Oh I see what you mean. To my knowledge that is normal behavior for VLC. It just happens that the focus on your computer is not on the VLC output window at that moment (the window focus is one another program?).

This can be useful when you want to tab to another application such as instant messaging when watching video.
