BSOD with VLC 0.9.2 when selecting multiple files

Hi,
I started using latest VLC 0.9.2.
I want to open all my mp3 files in a folder, I click on play, it displays an open file window, I click on my computer, then D:, I click on the folder "mia musica".
Here there's the first mistake: folders aren't listed all before files, but there are some folders, then some files, then some folders again, and then other files.
I right-click, select show hidden files, and folders and files get well listed.
So I click on first file, then I scroll to view last file, I push shift on keyboard to select all files between them, and click on the last file.
Here it comes the Blue Screen Of Death.
I rebooted my pc and then I tried opening files again, but another BSOD appeared.
Let me know what you need to analyse this problem.
Sorry for my bad english.

What file or reason is it for BSOD? Because software shouldn't cause BSOD, only bad drivers or hardware.

The reason is that I select multiple files: I push shift, I click on the last file and BSOD appears!

Does same happen if you copy those files to another folder and remove .mp3 file extension from them and then try to play them?

"Mia musica" is the folder that contains files with mp3 extensions.
"mp3 renamed" is the new folder that contains files without extensions (I've made this using Flexible Renamer 8.0).
I open Vlc, click play, open file window appears, I go into mp3 renamed folder, I select filter: all files *.*, but I can't see any file, so I can't populate the playlist (only once, I don't know how, playlist has been populated with all files in that folder).
So I close the window, I click on media menu, I click on Open folder, and then I select "mp3 renamed" folder.
Playlist starts populating and Vlc starts playing music without visible errors.
But in this way I get no errors even selecting "Mia musica" folder.
Then I tried doing the same explained in my first post in this thread, and I got another BSOD (but now it tells me that error is related to portcls.sys file, that's a windows driver).

Have you tried to update your sound card drivers lately?

I've updated my realtek ac'97 audio drivers from 4.04 to 4.05 version.
Realtek in his changelog says "fix blue screen issue", but also 4.03 and 4.04 has a "fix blue screen issue".
However, selecting multiple files in vlc I get the blue screen again.
Do you think it's related to vlc or not?
I wasn't getting BSOD from much time...

I think it is some short of file preview thingy that crashes it. There should be VLC 0.9.3 out soon with native Windows file select. If you could try that and post possible problems here, it would be nice.

Do you mean trying next VLC 0.9.3 stable release, right?
'Cause 0.9.3 nightly builds get my pc rebooting again...

Yes stable. And it is you buggy drivers or broken hardware that causes those BSODs, not VLC.
