VLC Vista Wallpaper Probem STILL!!

OK,
I have taken every single step from just about every forum on the internet, but i STILL have a big Black screen appearing on my desktop background replacing my previous picture wallpaper!
I seriously want this video wallpaper to work with this program, i even have a batch file made up to relapse my video and switch on at start up but i just can't get it to show!
After much time spending reading other peoples comments and info on the subject, The black background tells me this:- DirectX is responding to the program and is trying to run the video as wallpaper meaning i have the correct output settings (DirectX video NOT DirectX3D video) and a full up to date version of DirectX (As of today).
The problem i have now is that i cannot determine whether or not it is Vista causing the problem or if it's my Video driver causing the problem. I would not however beleive that it COULD be my video driver seeing as it's one of the latest Sony Vaios on the market, But then i do not see how it could be the Vista "compatible" issue considering the amount of time this "minor issue" has been around!

PLEASE HELP ME!!

ATB Rob

Try this:

start /MIN c:\progra~1\videolan\vlc\vlc.exe --intf wx --wx-embed --directx-wallpaper %1

Wallpaper mode works in Vista 32 at least (disables Aero). I am not sure about Vista 64. You might want to try updating your display adapter drivers.
