H.264 video not working when using RTP streaming

Postby whiteshadow » 10 Sep 2008 05:37

I have been using the windows version of vlc(latest version(0.8.6i)
to stream from one pc to another so far I have had no problems with avi encoded in xvid or divx,
though H.264 is giving me some problems

H.264 video not working when using RTP????

I think the problem is with mpeg ts,as the same problem happens when using h.264 video with http and mpeg ts
though if I change the encapsulation method from mpeg ts to asf it works fine, though mpeg ts is the only select-able encapsulation method when using rtp

is there a way to get H.264 video work with rtp streaming?

if there is no work around could you add asf encapsulation method to rtp in a updated version please
or maybe fix mpeg ts so it can handle H.264 video
