Hi, i have a question about the comand line....i'm using an appro ip camera, but that's irellevand as far as i see it... i tried running vlc using

Code: Select all

vlc.exe http://<un>:<pass>@<ip>/appro-cgi/mpeg4.cgi transcode{vcodec=WMV2,vb=96,scale=1,acodec=mp3,ab=16,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=192.168.31.215:8080}}
vlc starts, shows the link in the statubar, but nothing actually loads...

using the vlc wizzard / open network stream then using the streaming option with the code i posted, works just fine

vlc version :0.8.6a

tried with 8.6i, but nothing even loads...

Code: Select all

vlc.exe -vvv http://<un>:<pass>@<ip>/appro-cgi/mpeg4.cgi --sout '#transcode{vcodec=WMV2,vb=96,scale=1,acodec=mp3,ab=16,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=192.168.31.215:8080}}'
tried this, seems like what the page you provided showed... still doesn't work, the player starts, but doesn't load anything

tried without the "-vvv" part, same result...

Code: Select all

vlc.exe -vvv http://<un>:<pass>@<ip>/appro-cgi/mpeg4.cgi --sout=#transcode{vcodec=WMV2,vb=96,scale=1,acodec=mp3,ab=16,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=192.168.31.215:8080}}
Does that work any better?
