Pixelate video, Vista 32/64, Intel GPU, no overlay

Hello,
VLC plays videos in terrible quality - overlay doesnt works. I tried setting deblocking, forcing DirectX, but no method seems to work (on my pc with nvidia gpu default settings = good). I tried even Nighty build / latest official. I guess something is not supported (DX10 or my Intel GMA 4500) by VLC.
In the Windows Media Player with FFdshow codecs video plays smothly and very very nice quality. Any ideas?

It should be fixed on latest Intel drivers.

VLC uses normal DirectX, Direct3D, WinGDI or OpenGL to draw the image. Because the problem only exists on Intel display adapters, and someone mentioned that driver update fixes it, I am 99,9% sure the problem is with Intel drivers.

I've had blocky playback of all video in VLC since at least 0.8.6 on Vista 64. All my drivers are up to date, running ATI 3870X2. MPC, WMP, Divx player, etc all work fine. VLC is the only player that exhibits the problem that I've tried. If I switch the output module to OpenGL the pixelation goes away but I get screen tearing. I was an avid VLC fan before I made the switch to Vista 64 but I haven't used it since except to test each new version that is released.. Please get Vista 64 and test VLC with it and get it working correctly. Pretty please =[

I don't think Vista64 has anything to do with this issue. You get same issues on all output modules? Or only with Direct3D?

Only with Direct3D. Smoothing is working in OpenGL but the video playback tears like it's not syncing with the panel's refresh rate. All other media players I've tried do not have this issue. High res source material is fine, it's just on lower res stuff being scaled up that it's noticeable.
