Constant hum sound when playing MP4

It has MP4a sound according to stats.

It just has a constant low pitch hum throughout the movie. If I play it back on Quicktime, it is fine but I cant use that because the video is far too slow and jerky.

This is also fixed if I switch to Mono. But I don't want to do that.

Any ideas what the problem is?
