Hi All,

I am using VLC (0.8.6h) to play live video of a camera over RTSP/RTP protocol (over internet). Everything works fine but when internet goes down even for 1 second, the VLC pauses the video forever. I have to manually reconnect to the camera again to watch live video.

The problem is that VLC never learns that RTSP/RTP connection has been broken so even LOOP does not work.

Can anybody guide me how to solve this critical problem?

Does it help if you add the stream to playlist and put the playlist to repeat forever mode?

No, It does not work, I tried already.
It seems that VLC does not know that connection has been broken.
