VLC ActiveX control - can VLC logo be hidden?

Hi guys,

I am using a VLC ActiveX control to insert videos into a powerpoint presentation because the default way that powerpoint uses (which i believe uses the windows MCI or WMP) is not reliable.

The video is working within the presentations using the VLC activex plugin but I was wondering whether it is possible to remove the VLC witches hat logo so that it doesn't show up for a split second when the video is loading? I was hoping to be able to have a seamless display of these videos within the powerpoint.

Any help would be much appreciated and a giant stress relief for an IT support guy overwhelmed with work :)

Cheers

Better yet, could the logo be substituted for one of my choosing by specifying an image file?

No.
You have to recompile it.

I've a similar problem. I'd like to display the logo/marquee on the VLC browser plugin (IE8) & I'm unable. However when I use the same commands on the player, I'm able to display the logo. Any clues as to how to get it?

If the logo filter options aren't marked safe, you cannot use them in ActiveX.
