Best Audio/Video codec for Video/Audio Conferencing in VLC

Hello everybody

I am using VLC to make an Video/Audio Conferencing application.It is kind of a moderator/participant application.i want to know which video and audio codec should i use alongwith which encapsulation to get best results.i will be multicasting the moderator video to all participants.there are lot of video and audio codecs option available.so i would like to know which would be better.i will be working in windows enviroment.

If you have new computers and you use VLC on both ends: h.264 for video, mp4a for audio, mpeg-ts encapsulation. There are lots of x264 parameters that you can adjust to get best possible quality at chosen bitrate if your bandwidth is limited.
