When I try to play mpeg-2/ts file, I see black screen and a lot of messages like

main warning: backward_pts != dts (30000)
main warning: backward_pts != current_pts (-20000)
main warning: backward_pts != dts (30000)
main warning: backward_pts != dts (60000)
main warning: vout warning: early picture skipped (3003124266)
main warning: vout warning: early picture skipped (3003184266)
main warning: vout warning: early picture skipped (3003244266)
main warning: vout warning: early picture skipped (3003304266)
main warning: vout warning: early picture skipped (3003334266)

What does it mean?
Why does VCL skip pictures?
Other players play this file successfully

VLC currently has some issues with Tranport stream files. If it is a DVB capture, you might want to demux it with ProjectX and mux again to make it Program stream file which should work better.
