help please with viewing .swf streams

Hi can someone who knows how to set up vlc to watch .swf streams can it be done ??
if i just say to load it , it doesnt work, but i can watch in WMP is it a WMP only format? or am I just an idiot and forgetting/missing something here?

No. VLC doesn't support swf files (so no Adobe Flash support in VLC). FLV files do work with VLC.

Will it be supported in next VLC (1.0.0) release? Does any other free player support this? What about compressed swf?
