VC-1 + AC3 == nothingness

I fired up VLC on Windows XP. Loaded a .TS file with VC-1 video and AC3 audio.

VLC *think* it is playing, but there is neither video showing nor audio playing.

WTH??

Winamp and Windows Media Player seem to handle this file...

Clues?

VLC doesn't use DirectShow filters/codecs so even if that .ts plays fine on WMP or winamp, it doesn't mean anything for VLC. .ts support for other than MPEG-2 video and audio is problematic (so no Blu-ray-rip support) and most file don't play at all. You can try nightly builds to see if they work any better.
