I am new to vlc. When I down load the program I do not get the option to open the file. Windows (XP HOME) says it can not open the file type.

Your download has been corrupted for some reason.

Clear your browser cache and download the file again.

Had the same problem, but used a bigger hammer. Works fine now, but STILL can't change the language.
Will version "g" fix that?
