no suitable decoder module for fourcc `undf'

Postby T0T4L » 20 Mar 2008 12:58

Hello, when trying to watch a NSV/H264 stream from PEERCAST I get this error and I get only audio:

Code: Select all

main debug: using demux2 module "ffmpeg" main debug: looking for a subtitle file in C:\Programmi\VideoLAN\VLC\ main debug: looking for decoder module: 28 candidates main error: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `undf'. VLC probably does not support this sound or video format. main debug: killing decoder fourcc `undf', 0 PES in FIFO main debug: looking for decoder module: 28 candidates ffmpeg debug: libavcodec initialized (interface 3349504 ) ffmpeg debug: ffmpeg codec (MPEG Audio layer 1/2/3) started main debug: using decoder module "ffmpeg"
Well, if I open with VLC the direct Shoutcast stream, I get also video working.
I was wondering if this can be fixed and how.

Regards,

Tomas

Are you sure that PEERCAST doesn't modify headerdata or something similar?

Well it can be so, but how can I fix this?
How to tell VLC that's an h264 encoded stream?

I am not sure if you can force decoder. It might easier to tell about this issue to PEERCAST which have much faster release cycle than VLC.

Well, the peercast project seems discontinued... any idea how to force the decoder?
