There are always some errors on broadcasts. But if it closes/crashes VLC, then do a bug report.

The devel version doesn't crash but it looks like the colours of the 8x8 blocks on some channels don't make any sense, they are grey mainly - on the other hand the motion vectors look fine since they help sometimes to guess what is going on... does this explanation make any sense?

Save a small part of that stream and try to play it with other media players to see if the problem lies in VLC, then do a bug report and attach that sample to it.
