Add video to playlist and choose playlist repeat.

i should have been more specific, but college basketball season always distracts me.
what i'd like to find is a global setting that enables all files to automatically repeat forever upon random opening. i'm currently using media player classic to accomplish this. it has a pretty handy option to repeat forever or repeat X number of times, w/o having to generate a playlist.

Probably in the upcoming version of VLC. There will be an option to Repeat All or Repeat One, the Repeat One option is probably the one that you're looking for as you'll be able to have the same item repeat forever until you disable it. I don't think that any version prior to VLC 0.9.0 has the Repeat One option, correct?

Hi, I need the same feature too. Everytime you want to repeat a video or a video playlist you have to click "playlist/repeat all..." and that's very annoying.. Is there a way to do that once and for all with the last version of vlc?

Tools -> Preferences... (Show settings: All) Playlist and tick the Repeat all option.
