wmv and VLC
All my wmv files are broken for a few seconds when played in VLC. Do you have to add something to the command line to improve playback? Not familiar with how to do that.

WMVs should work OK. What version of VLC are you using? Have you tried to reset the Preferences and Cache through VLC?
