On Screen Controls in Windows

Hello,
I have been using VLC player for some time on a Macintosh and I have recently began to use it on my windows computer. I love how it works on the Mac with the onscreen controls that pop up when you move the mouse in full screen mode but I cannot seem to get this same behavior in Windows. I have to exit full screen mode to use the controls which is not near as nice. Does anyone know how to activeate this in windows?
Thanks,
Jason

There are no fullscreen controls in VLC for Windows (as of now). You could use the keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys instead. The default settings are:
- Space = Play/Pause
- Shift + Right Arrow/Left Arrow = Seeks +/- 3 Seconds
- Alt + Right Arrow/Left Arrow = Seeks +/- 10 Seconds
- Ctrl + Right Arrow/Left Arrow = Seeks +/- 1 Minute
- Crtl + Up Arrow/Down Arrow = Volume Up/Down
They can also be customised in the preferences.
Cheers, Arite.

Will we get on screen controls in the upcoming 0.9 version? Is there a plan to implement this feature into the windows version?

I think there are plans for it, although I'm not sure of the status at the moment.

Oh , it is possible !
Just make sure this one is selected:
save settings , close vlc and open it again then move cursor to the top on fullscreen.

Yeh, that is one technique - however the Max OS X on screen controls are a part of the interface like this (click for full resolution):
