If I set up VLC on a "server" to stream a DVD over a local network, can the "client" that plays it pause & shuttle around within the DVD?

Thanks, -Scott

Hi, i am setting up a helix server and the Quicktime movies are streamed using rtsp, i cannot get movies to shuttle like Quicktime player can. If i try and shuttle then it just jumps back and creates a momentary glitch. It won't stay at the new point in the timeline and rebuffer. It's a real shame because Quicktime is a pain and VLC is excellent, but with a choice of playing the movie from the start or nothing it's not gonna help us. Is this something videolan will ever implement?

Cheers
