hi,
my problem is a little bit complicated, i hope you understand me. i stream my videos from pc to dbox2 (to watch the videos on tv). with vlc version 0.7.2 or 0.8.0 in conjunction with the "movieplayer" (programm on the dbox2) all works perfectly. vlc versions higher 0.8.0 and movieplayer make several problems (i dont know if the failure ist by the ""movieplayer" or "vlc"). the problem is, all newer dbox2 images use the "new movieplayer" which only accept vlc versions higher 0.8.5 (different http-folder). if i want to use the "old movieplayer" with versions higher 0.8.5 i have to copy the http-folfer from vlc 0.8.4a to the newer vlc versions und all works (but as i sad it works bad with all versions higher 0.8.0). the inverse way (copy the http folder from vlc 0.8.5 to 0.8.0) to get the vlc version 0.8.0 to work with the "new movieplayer" dont work. the movieplayer only says "failure".
do you know what files from 0.8.5 (or higher versions) i can copy to 0.8.0 that the movieplayer "thinks" there is a version higher 0.8.5? or do you have any other ideas? sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me.....

ok, lets solve the problem in another way:

the main problem is the asynchronous picture/sound. with the "good" vlc versions 0.7.2 and 0.8.0 i have also that problem but if i press pause/play on dbox picture/sound are perfectly synchron. on vlc versions 0.8.5 i cant press pause/play because the connections crashes after that action.what are the main differences regarding http-streaming between 0.8.0 and newer versions. what options are worth to change?

here are some command lines but wich is good against asynchronous streaming?

http://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation: ... #transcode

thanks for help in advance!!!
