Hi there, how can I get VLC to play cda files, and even better, convert them to another file format? Thanks in advance! Cecile.

to play an audio disc, use file, open disc

to convert it, you'd better use cdex ( http://cdexos.sf.net )

Well it's no longer on a disc, was a back-up from a CD which I broke :(

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a go!

Merry Christmas.

Cecile.

you can't backup audio cds using the .cda shown in explorer .. you have to use ripping software to extract the audio from it.

if you broke the cd, you can use emule and *torrent, in full legality since you bought the license already.

happy halloween !
