Extremely laggy, same thing with windows media player, but i had hoped vlc would be quicker to fix.
what can i do to resolve this? i havent stopped googling all day but now ive given up so maybe someone better informed than me can help. thanks

funman mean reads the VLC media player for Microsoft Windows Vista forum thread - you should be able to find a possible solution there, and if not post a reply in that thread.
