RTSP stream does not resume after suspend

Hi,
I installed the latest version of the Windows VLC player. I want to use the player to monitor RTSP security cameras over the RTSP protocol (mpeg4).
This works great, except when the machines goes to sleep mode. After wakening, the stream will not start automatically (stop-play will do the trick). Instead you have a black screen. Sometimes it works. I believe it depends on how quick the machine gets it IP address from DHCP.
Do you have a fix for this?
