How to remove from Windows startup list

Hi,

How can I get VLC Media Player to NOT appear in my startup list in Windows XP? I'm talking about the list of recently used programs just above "All Programs" when you hit the "Start" button. It's a great program, but I don't need it on that list. Other programs I don't want to appear on the list, I simply right-click them and choose the option "Remove from this list". I try that with VLC, but pretty soon it's back on the list. Also, I use TweakUI for XP which has a customizable startup program list with checkmarks you can add or remove for programs you want or don't want on the list, but strangely, VLC Media Player doesn't appear on that list.

This may seem like a very minor issue, but the very strange behaviour of VLC with regards to this list really puzzles me. Anyone know how to fix it?

Steven
