Choppy video problem fixed

Don't know if this has been talked about or not, but thought I would throw it out there in case someone needs it.
I use VLC for watching DVD's from time to time. Just recently the video started getting really choppy. It was bad enough that I couldn't watch the movie. The problem ended up being that I didn't have DMA enabled on my DVD-ROM drive. Turned it on, and PRESTO!
