If your system freezes (freeze as nothing works and system hangs) then the problem is in drivers. Update videocard, soundcard and chipset drivers and it should work.

Does this occur with all files/DVDs etc. with subtitles on?

You could try changing the video output module. To do this go to (in "Settings >> Preferences..."):
Video >> Output modules
And then change the "Video output module" ("Advanced options" need to be on to see it) - you could try "DirectX video output" and "OpenGL video output".

Cheers, Arite.

I think so.. but his happens randomly... sometimes I can play 1 movie.. sometimes.. 4-5.. anyway system hang on.
I check everything.. drivers, possibilities conflict hardware.. It's no bloody clue whats exactly happend and why system freezing when VLC play movies.
I can use differend plaer [subedit player] and nothing happed.. works fine.

Try resetting your Preferences and Cache for VLC. To do this, go to:
Start >> All Programs >> VideoLAN >> Quick Settings >> Reset VLC media player preferences and cache files

And see it that makes any difference.

Arite.
