Green screen problem, please HELP!

Hi all, i used VLC for a long time now and didn't have any problems until yesterday...

I had 0.8.2 version when this happened, then i upgraded to a newest version but still having problems.
The problem is that every .avi file i play the whole screen is green, .wmv, .mpeg etc are working but not all of them also, some wmv files also appear in green screen.

It is like transparent green cause i can barely see the picture.
The problem started with the older version like i said above, and it started when i went to Settings > Extended GUI > Image Adjustment (Enable), when i ticked "Enable" there was error message and VLC closed, and since then the picture is always green in .avi files and som of the others too.
And everytime i ticked "Enable" VLC closed, but in new version it doesn't close but i still have green screen. :(

I didn't install any new codec so that can't be the problem, i just updated Java but i can't see how that can mess up VLC ?!

So please if someone had this problem or knows how to solve it let me know, cause this is my favorite player
