We have a .wmv file stored on the system drive on Windows Vista machines. The sound gets choppy every 10-15 seconds of the Video. I played with some of the Video settings in VLC to no avail.
The support faq suggests that choppiness is from the CPU being too slow, but some of the machines we have are top of the line machines. So that doesn't make sense unless Vista throttles the process, however setting the priority of the vlc process higher or lower had no effect.
Anyone know anything I can try? This file plays fine in Windows Media Player on Vista, but we need it to work in vlc.
