Hi, VLC media player (vlc-0.8.6c-win32) is freezing after sometime when I am trying to play a file of avi extension. Same movie can be played properly in other system using this player only. When I run the Gspot v2.21 with this file then got the following informations about this file: Video Codec [4CC: xvid,Name: XviD,

I have one more movie which I am able to play properly in my system and it is of same format & details are as follows: [ Video: bitrate: 869 kb/s, FPS: 23.976, Qf: 0.197 bits/pixel, Audio: 117 kb/s (58/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.97bª, Fs: 48000 Hz, StreamType and A/V interleave: type : OpenDML AVI, IMRR: 1.0, I/L: 1 vid frame (42 ms), p=504 Split: No]
system configuration: processor: intel core duo 1.6 GHz , board: intel D945GCNL, 512 MB RAM, OS: Win Xp (SP2)

Are there any other files that cause problems? Or might it be that some part of that AVI file cause problems (like time between 6:12 - 6:17)?

Thanks for your reply. I tried with AVI file file. I noticed that it stops playing the file at 00:00: 44. When drag the progress bar few minute after this point then it plays and again it stops after sometime.
