VLC Crashes when opening dshow

Postby FlukeyNZ » 22 Jul 2007 22:18

Hey guys,

Okay so i got a new Capture card, the Hauppauge PVR 350. Ive seen some posts etc saying that it works. The problem ive got is that whenever i try to open the dshow with this capture card VLC comes up saying it had an error and has to close. I checked the messages log before it does this and it says something about trying to open an unknown stream m2p2. I will post the full Message log in this post later this afternoon.

If anyone who has got a hauppauge 350 streaming on a windows pc could give me a hand setting it up i would be much appreciative.

Thx

ok, so i have tried various things with my Hauppauge PVR 350, but still to no avail. here is a copy of the messages log below. Whenever i try to open the capture device it comes up saying "VLC had an error and had to close" with this in the messages log.

Any help from anyone would be amazing.
