sound problems

hey on some movies I watch the sound during the dialog is fine but when the action hits the volume of the sound seems to drop dramatically. any way to fix? I have besweet and VLC ready if theres a way :P

Hmm.... Try turning off the Normalizer setting if it was turned on: Preferences > (tad) Audio > Filters > uncheck the box "volume normalizer".

well it was on. I turned it off but it didnt solve it :( any other ideas?

OK, try evening out the EQ settings if you've changed those. Any more info you can give me?

Shut down the DRC for both DTS and AC3.

Preferences, Input / Codecs, Audio codecs, A/52 "A/52 dynamic range compression" and Preferences, Input / Codecs, Audio codecs, DCA "DTS dynamic range compression" then press Save and restart the player.

The volume normalizer is off by default.
