Hi,

I had to do a reformat but I used to have multiple windows of VLC open to different movies/shows. Now when I click on a new movie it opens up in the same window as the one I was watching effectively stopping the original movie. Is there a setting in VLC to open up a new movie in a new window?

Disable "One instance when started from file": Preferences > Advanced > un-check the box "One instance when started from file".
