If i minimise vlc, i get video on explorer window, not whole video but transparent video, in particular on ICON'S TEXT.
Anyone know how to rectify the problem.
I tried & tired on vlc 0.8.5 & 0.8.6, reset preference, but no result.

That's interesting, we've been requesting frame-by-frame for a while now, and you may have just done it. :P What is your operating system?

Windows XP .
I can't say its frame by frame, but its more like SLIDESHOW & video color changes. if i uncheck video overlay.
My pc configuration
P3 550Mhz, 192 MB RAM, sis 6326 4MB AGP card. WINXP
I have no problem when i freshly installed XP, VLC was playing good.
But it all started suddenly, which i unable to trace out.
MPC & WMP has no problem.

Try erasing the preferences directory. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner (this is you)\Application Data\VLC Erase VLC, Application Data is a hidden directory so you will need to make it visible.

This will make VLC just the way it was when you first installed it. Unless of coarse something else has changed in your system.

Alas, there aren't any full-screen controllers for Windows, yet. This may not be the most fun, but, you can go to: Preferences > Interface and select "Show interface with mouse". Whenever you move the mouse to the top of the screen the entire interface, with the seek bar, will appear.

Yes, I know. :(

Try reducing the resolution and or color depth of your video card. It really doesn't have enough memory and your machine is slow. But for most SD video it should still work.

yes, reducing color to 16 bit solved the problem.
Thanks for all who helped.
