ebml + martoska static linking

Hi everyone,
According Wiki's Cygwin compilation page, trying to static link mkv plugin fails because libEbml has problems with gcc 3.4 (Cygwin's gcc version).
So far I've found no solution, but I really need to output a single libvlc.dll library with no "external" plugins.
If anyone can help solve this I would be very thankfull!
