how do you convert VLC files??

how do you convert VLC files into Windows Media Player if your wondering why i want to do this it is because im makin a nba mix but the clips i have downloaded are vlc and i want to put them on windows media player so i can put it on windows movie maker

1. there are many file formats that VLC can handle...but there's no file format called VLC file format.
2. if vlc can open and play your downloaded files, u can use vlc to convert them..u don't need to tell vlc the file format ..
3. just specify the transcode output in WMV2 will be fine
