i'm using VLC to watch my FlyTV card.

1. File -> Open capture device
2. Refresh list (both video and audio) and select the appropriate device
3. copy the text inside the field "Customize" (i'll explain later)

Press OK.

If you see the video and hear the audio - voilà!

If not, you'll have to do 1-3 again, and try and change the values in the "Advanced options" window until you find the right ones.

remember i said copy the line of text? save it somewhere so you can use it again next time.

Hello Tombigel,

Thx for your help ;)

In fact, my problem is Vlc crashes after the device selection.

Witch values are you using in the device settings and in the "advanced options" ?

Thanks ;)

PS : sorry for my english, if you speak/understand french ... tell me

no French, sorry.

I use a shortcut in windows to run this command:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" dshow:// :dshow-caching=200 :dshow-fps=0.000000 :no-dshow-config :no-dshow-tuner :dshow-tuner-channel=0 :dshow-tuner-country=0 :dshow-tuner-input=1
it's almost the default settings, dshow-tuner-input=1 means i'm using the VIdeo-in connection in the card and not the Antenna-in.

All other settings in VLC are default.
I'm using Windows XP SP2 on Core 2 Duo 6400, Ati Radeon x1600 and FlyTV Tv-card.

Everything works without problems.
