Problem with ID3 tag

Postby Eagle_Erwin » 02 Feb 2007 13:40

When I open a mp3-file, the following is shown under "Stream and Media Info", tab General:
Image
Under Name (I have the Dutch version, Naam in the screenshot) the full path of the file is given. Not really a problem, but when I use the MSN Messenger Now Playing function, instead of the name of the song, this path is shown. I have this problem since the MSN feature is added. I use 0.8.6a at this moment. Internet streams doesn't have this problem, the name-field is filled in correctly then.
Trying to find the reason of this problem, I noticed this in the messages-window:

Code: Select all

main debug: looking for id3 module: 1 candidate id3tag debug: checking for ID3 tag id3tag debug: found ID3v1 tag id3tag debug: found ID3v2 tag main debug: using id3 module "id3tag" main debug: removing module "id3tag" main debug: using demux2 module "mpga" main debug: looking for a subtitle file in C:\Documents and Settings\Erwin\Mijn documenten\Mijn muziek\Favorieten\ main debug: looking for decoder module: 27 candidates main debug: using decoder module "mpeg_audio" main debug: thread 8076 (decoder) created at priority 2 (input/decoder.c:159) main debug: meta information: main debug: - 'Titel' = 'Communication' main debug: - 'Artiest' = 'Armin van Buuren' main debug: - 'Genre' = '254' main debug: - 'Titel' = 'Communication' main debug: - 'Artiest' = 'Armin van Buuren' main debug: `C:\Documents and Settings\Erwin\Mijn documenten\Mijn muziek\Favorieten\Armin van Buuren - Communication.mp3' successfully opened
This part: main debug: removing module "id3tag" looks a little strange to me. Could this "removing" be a problem, or is it something else?
I have the same problem on an other computer, also using the Dutch version, maybe the error is only in the dutch version. Does anyone have the same problem, and could it be fixed?

hmmm. Yes it seems to be a VLC bug. But you see that the meta informations are right, but not displayed correctly... We'll try to repair that for next version.
