Distortion problem

when I play some .mpg files on the left of the screen apears a distotion (a vertical line) with others players its works just fine. i tried to make a snapshot but the pictures apear without that distortion. it does the same thing on my bouth of pc... i reistalled vlc .. latest version and still nothing. any help? tnx

Does this happen if you disable overlay video output?
