Dark Screen

Postby Wardy » 30 Dec 2006 02:29

Hey Guys!!

I am having trouble with version 8.6 of VLC on version RC1 of Windows Vista.

Whenever I play video's in VLC, the screen goes dark.

Can anyone help as to how I rectify this situation?

Thanks in advance

Have you tired different output modules? Or disabling overlay video output? And your display adapter drivers are up to date?

I registered just to say... Yup. You my friend, You rock. I was pulling my hair out to figure out why my video was so dark in vista. I almost gave up, and accepted that its probably my display drivers. Since they are still in beta and whatnot.

I had tweaked the brightness, contrast, and gamma to try to compensate, but everything was flushed out. ARGH why didn't I pull down that silly little menu and take a look.

Again Thanks for your help.

And to the dev team. Thanks a TON for this AWESOME media player. Easily the best there is anywhere. No seriously, This program rocks.
